Living the Grady Life!

We are thankful that COVID-19 cases seem to be slowing down and many have already gotten, or are in the process of getting, their vaccinations. Boating has proven to be a great escape over the past year, and we’re excited to see that fun continue into 2021. Here is a little inspiration to entice you to get back on the water if you haven’t already. Please keep sending us your photos and encouraging others to join the Grady Life.

Bob and Jane have been enjoying the Grady Life on their Freedom 375, Sweet Jane. Since purchasing the boat in early 2020, they’ve done a lot of traveling – including a two-week trip from their home port of Panama Beach, Florida, down to Key West. The boat proved to be a perfect getaway during the pandemic, and Bob said she is quite capable of performing well in calm or rough seas.

Freddy Semprun loves boating around the islands and sandbars and fishing the offshore waters of the Bahamas and East Coast of Florida on his Sailfish 282.

Eduardo Flores spends time on his Explorer 24 in Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands.

There are many terrific reasons to own a Grady-White boat. One of them is the opportunity to join or start a Grady-White Club. Membership in a Grady-White Club has many wonderful benefits. If you’re new to boating, or new to your boating area, club members are happy to help. They are also a great resource for providing a list of best places to dine, cruise or fish. They regularly take trips together, giving new boaters confidence, providing camaraderie, and offering “safety in numbers” for long trips that you may not feel comfortable taking on your own. Pictured here, the Vero Marine Center Grady Bunch took their first trip of 2021. A picnic by boat proved to be the best choice since all members had not yet received their COVID-19 vaccination.  You could tell everyone was happy to be out and about! Sixteen boats from 21 to 33-feet joined in the adventure.

Don Ross spends his time fishing – and wow! What a catch he made on his 5th Grady-White, a Gulfstream 232.  He and his family enjoy fishing the waters in the Northwestern US. To read more about Don Ross and his family’s Grady Life, see the July 2020 issue of Anchorline.

People aren’t the only one’s enjoying the Grady Life! Steve McCarter shares this picture of Nala, riding on his Islander 270 in Tampa Bay, Florida.
