Greenville, NC --- Congressman Greg Murphy recently visited the Grady-White Boats manufacturing facility where he interacted with employees and discussed a variety of issues important to the boating industry and manufacturing.
While taking a tour of the facility, Murphy was able to observe the manufacturing process and speak with the dedicated craftspeople that make up a staff of more than 300.
In a meeting with President Kris Carroll, Murphy was informed about concerns of the boating industry; from the use of E15 fuels to issues facing recreational fishing, including the importance of Fisheries Management. “We were delighted to host Congressman Greg Murphy at our facility and to share our vision: Together, delivering the ultimate boating experience, while enjoying coming to work,” said Carroll. “He was able to meet our dedicated craftspeople and experience the positive team-atmosphere, where everyone feels valued for who they are and their personal contribution. He could see our passion expressed in every boat we build with care for our customers.”
Congressman Murphy is a Greenville, NC physician representing the 3rd district, a district with more than 58,000 registered boats and more than $1.1 billion in economic impact and nearly 5,500 jobs related to the boating industry.
