A Commitment to Safety

A long-time advocate of boat safety, Grady-White has been a member of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) for decades. ABYC’s sole purpose is to develop voluntary global safety standards for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of recreational boats. Boat manufacturers that are members of these organizations agree to build their boats to a higher standard than what the government requires. Why does Grady-White adhere to these standards? Simply stated, because we care about our customers’ safety! When you’re on a Grady-White boat, you can rest assured that you are aboard a boat designed with your safety in mind.

Because of this commitment to our customers’ safety, Grady-White has partnered with America’s Boating Club® (ABC) to promote boat safety. We encourage all boaters to consider enrolling in a boating course based on your level of experience. For seasoned captains, that might mean a simple refresher course. New boaters may want to take a variety of courses to expand their boating knowledge and understanding of rules of the waterways. We also highly encourage you to get your spouse, children, or crew members involved. Courses are available in person and online. Working together, we can make the waterways safer for us all.
