John and Tracey Hodgson, right, are Canyon 306 owners who scored sailfish on their Costa Rica vacation.
We last heard from Express 330 owner Larry Wangberg after his start of a series of 2-wk adventures in the Sea of Cortez, to San Carlos, MX. After a 650-mile run to Santa Rosalia and down the Baja coast, "Unleashed" was in La Paz. "The beauty of Baja where the desert and mountains meet the sea is truly special. The many islands are terrific! The fish we caught were the talk of the marina where we held our own w/many yachts over 100ft. We'll be down again in March. Meanwhile "Unleashed" awaits in San Jose del Cabo."
Sails On First Outing! - Mark Forsythe with crew Deanna Laidlaw brought on a sailfish off Jupiter, FL, the first weekend out on his Bimini 306 purchased at Marine Max Jacksonville.
James Taylor of Bergenfield, NJ, took in a 35-pound dolphin on his Express 265 at Chicken Canyon.
Captain Dave Kieser and crew found some big red grouper 65 miles offshore the Florida Gulf Coast aboard his Canyon 366. "Making my dreams come true!"
Grady Smile! - Charlie Fowler, age 10, caught this very nice 41" rockfish at the mouth of the Rappahannock River in mid-Chesapeake Bay aboard his grandfather's Gulfstream 232. Great going, Charlie!
January Striper - Tim Woolard got into the stripers off Virginia Beach, VA, one fine January day aboard his Fisherman 222.
Saskatchewan Walleye - Gerry Sperling says that the walleye and northern fairly jump into his Freedom 192 on Jan Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. His photo accompanies a report of happy satisfaction with the services provided by his Grady dealer, Desmasdon's Boat Works.
Dr. Stephen Eliot brought up quite a nice striped bass on his Escape 209. Catalano & Sons of Greenwich, CT, is Dr. Eliot's Grady-White dealer.
Tidewater Grady-White Club members Joe Lavender, Cathy Hodson, and Brian Hodson joined fellow club member Captain Joe Miller on his Express 305, "Miller Time", for a run across the Chesapeake to go eeling for big stripers on December 29, 2011. They kept four big stripers from 38" to 41", releasing a 33" 'slot fish' and another 40" fish after they had their limit. Joe Lavender caught his first striper on an eel, his largest striper to date, and later described the day as "an awesome day with good friends and fantastic fishing." The 305, of course, provided a great ride in the Bay chop and was an excellent fishing platform on a cold winter day. Cathy Hodson and Joe Miller are shown here.
Big Fish December Day - Patrick Pennell reports, "What a day and what a boat!" after fishing one fine December day in the Chesapeake Bay out of Deltaville, VA, on his 228.
Groove Move - Jake Szczygiel loves his Grady Express 265, and catches mahi, wahoo, yellowfin et al out of Beaufort, NC. "I moved to Greenville, NC, from Baltimore, and living where my Grady was built was a huge draw for me. This is my second Grady." Aw, thanks Jake!
