Palm Island Cruise - Five Gradys and 22 members of the Tampa Bay Grady-White Club cruised to Palm Island near Boca Grande, FL, by way of the Intercoastal Waterway. Beautiful weather allowed all events to go wonderfully, including group meals, walks on the beach, pool time, expoloration by golf cart, fishing and of course Grady Camaraderie!
Grady Lady Tournament - For the second weekend in a row, a small craft advisory forced the cancellation of the Chesapeake Bay Grady-White Club Grady Lady Fishing Tournament but the weather was not going to keep these ladies from fishing. All the registered ladies met at the Calypso Bay Restaurant to compete in a very different kind of competition. Instead of their usual rods, tackle and bait they were given a plastic fishing rod rigged with suction cups instead of hooks. There were several species of brightly colored cardboard fish placed out before them. All the ladies had to do was make their best cast and hook into one of the winning fish. Following the event and we spent the remainder of the evening enjoying a delicious dinner and each other's company.
