Planning out excitement - Plans were made on South Florida Grady-White Club future activities. They also decided to meet once a month to achieve these goals. They are aiming for at least three events a year, boat trips and are interested in inviting guest speakers on boat detailing, electronics, fishing techniques, etc. to their meetings.
Great turnout for first-timers - The new South Florida Grady-White Club had 14 boats represented and 21 Grady owners in attendance.
Who wants dessert? - A great looking cake to top-off the Somers Point Grady-White Club's Fishing Tournament & Barbecue. A success and one of several more Somers Point GW opportunities to follow!
Beautiful sign thanks to members like these! - Special thanks to Libby and Danny Tsitouris, for the wonderful banner they had made for the Tidewater Grady-White Club, in Norfolk, Va. They joined in 2012 and this is a sample of their involvement. The club is fortunate to have active members like this and their gift. Great work!
Tom Corogin telling the tale of his recent ocean adventure - At the age of 84, Tom Corogin attempted to solo sail from San Diego and around the tip of South America. Tom had sailed 5,000 miles when disaster struck, caught in a severe storm 4 days out, damaging communications and his mast. Tom was rescued by a Japanese Merchant ship. In this extremely remote area of the South Pacific, the Japanese ship only makes this trip twice a year and just happened to be in route during Tom's moment of need. This was Tom's 7th attempt to sail around South America. Tom would have been the oldest person to sail around Cape Horn.
Tom Corogin doing a demoing for Lake Erie GW Club - On how to tie a bowline with one hand... In only a couple of seconds!

Bill and Rosanne Rissel of the Tarpon Coast GW Club recently purchased a 2014 Freedom 275 . They enjoy using their boat for both fishing and entertaining.
