Boat length for boat length, there is no ride like a Grady-White.

When it comes to premium saltwater boats and the ultimate boating lifestyle, no other brand compares to Grady-White Boats. Known for industry-leading customer satisfaction, exceptional safety, superior quality, and legendary reliability, Grady-White has earned countless awards—including being ranked #1 in every J.D. Power and Associates Marine Study ever conducted. At the heart of this success is one remarkable innovation: the exclusive SeaV² hull design – the key to Grady-White’s famously smooth, dry, and confident ride.

The Difference You Can Feel: Grady-White’s SeaV² Hull Performance
Boat for boat, there’s truly no ride like a Grady-White. The SeaV² hull, our exclusive design created in collaboration with Ray Hunt Design, delivers a softer, drier, and more stable ride—no matter the sea conditions.

Unlike conventional deep-vee hulls, the SeaV² is a “continuously variable vee” design. No two points along the keel share the same deadrise. The vee deepens steadily from stern to bow, starting at about 20 degrees at the transom and sharpening to around 30 degrees amidships. This progressive deadrise delivers the wave-cutting ride of a deep-vee hull forward, with the stability and efficiency of a modified vee aft.

Grady-White’s SeaV² hull is like no other, with a moderate deadrise at the stern and steadily increasing deadrise forward to the bow.

The two strakes and the chine of a SeaV² hull cut through water, providing lift, stability and a drier ride.

Bow flare, high freeboard and chine angle allow more vee in the water for a smooth ride at any speed.

The handling characteristics of Grady-White's SeaV² hull design ensure the helmsman of nearly effortless control at any speed and on any course.

The key to the SeaV² hull's superior rough water performance is the forward sections that offer a sharp "deep vee" cutting edge and the flatter aft section that provides stability.

Smooth, Dry, and Confident—In Any Conditions
A SeaV² hull performs as if your Grady-White were running on rails. Its powerful righting force keeps tracking straight and true, even in quartering or following seas. Wide chines and precision strakes deflect spray and add lift for a drier, more comfortable ride.

Watch a Grady-White slice through calm water, and you’ll see three distinct bow wakes—proof of the hull’s carefully engineered deflectors at work. This advanced design ensures stability and confidence whether offshore fishing, cruising with family, or exploring new waterways.

Power, Efficiency, and Control
Grady-White’s SeaV² hull combines performance of a deep-vee with the fuel efficiency of a variable deadrise design.  As each wave meets the hull, buoyancy builds and lifts the boat smoothly, reducing pounding and improving control. The result is better performance, exceptional comfort, and longer days enjoying the Grady Life.

Every Grady-White is engineered for precise handling and control at any speed. Bow flare, high freeboard, and optimized chine angles keep more vee in the water, delivering a smooth, predictable ride – the reason so many boaters call it the best riding hull.
