Tidewater Grady-White Club members Joe Lavender, Cathy Hodson, and Brian Hodson joined fellow club member Captain Joe Miller on his Express 305, "Miller Time", for a run across the Chesapeake to go eeling for big stripers on December 29, 2011. They kept four big stripers from 38" to 41", releasing a 33" 'slot fish' and another 40" fish after they had their limit. Joe Lavender caught his first striper on an eel, his largest striper to date, and later described the day as "an awesome day with good friends and fantastic fishing." The 305, of course, provided a great ride in the Bay chop and was an excellent fishing platform on a cold winter day. Cathy Hodson and Joe Miller are shown here.
Big Fish December Day - Patrick Pennell reports, "What a day and what a boat!" after fishing one fine December day in the Chesapeake Bay out of Deltaville, VA, on his 228.
Groove Move - Jake Szczygiel loves his Grady Express 265, and catches mahi, wahoo, yellowfin et al out of Beaufort, NC. "I moved to Greenville, NC, from Baltimore, and living where my Grady was built was a huge draw for me. This is my second Grady." Aw, thanks Jake!
December Rockfish - John Gentry caught this 44" rockfish aboard Steve Gentil's 2012 Freedom 205 one December weekend in the Chesapeake Bay."There were small craft warnings with seas 3' to 4' that were supposed to abate after 1 P.M. but they never did," said Mr. Gentil who is extremely happy with the way his boat rides in rough water.
