All of us at Grady-White are well aware of how important clean water and well-managed, sustainable, and accessible fisheries are to our customers and associates, and really to all who participate in boating and water activities. For us, supporting sustainable recreational fisheries, clean water, and access is not only good policy, it’s good business. As result Grady-White–along with many of our customers and associates–is in favor of current legislation in the United States Senate that may well help ensure long-term conservation and sustainable fisheries while improving access to these fisheries by saltwater anglers.

We hope you will consider supporting Modernizing Recreational Fisheries Management Act, S. 1520, introduced by Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) and Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL). The bi-partisan “Modern Fish Act,” as we are calling it, if passed will help the recreational boating industry while mandating long-term conservation for our nation's marine resources.

Given the support among key members of Congress, the bill has been well received since its introduction in July and many are hopeful that it will become law. Whatever your own views on this issue, we ask that you carefully review this legislation and take action to send a letter or make other contact with your Senators.
