Hull Draft: 15" (.38 m) Maximum HP: 250 (187 kW) Outboard Shaft Length: 25" (.64 m) Standard Fuel Capacity: 82 gal. (310 l) Weight w/o Engine: 2600 lb. (1179 kg)
GREENVILLE, NC–Not many 20-foot boats, much less 20-foot center consoles, feature the all-day comfort of an enclosed head area, but the new Grady-White Fisherman 209 is an exception. That is not the only thing in this chocked-with-customer-inspired-features boat that’s exceptional; this great family-and-fishing Grady-White doesn’t miss an opportunity, big or small, to add features and function for a fun day on the water. Highlights include a cockpit that is every bit as big as most 25-footers, a clever removable cooler that doubles as forward seating, access to the bow all at deck level, and a handsome, well-engineered optional T-top integrated into the console structure. Little things make a difference, too, like a recessed spot on top of the console to store your sunglasses when you dive over for a swim. “Our focus in re-engineering this center console was first and foremost to add a useful-sized head area,” says Joey Weller, vice president of sales and marketing for Grady-White. “But that was far from all. Grady-White builds a complete line of ten different center console models from 18 to 36 feet in length and we wanted to integrate some of our bigger center console features into this good-looking 20-footer including the optional T-top. Plus, we've made it ready for the new generation of highly efficient Yamaha engines coming to market. We think that a lot of things come together in the Fisherman 209 to create a terrific choice in a smaller Grady-White center console for young families.” “The new Fisherman 209 is designed, of course, to be powered by a single Yamaha four stroke engine and the super-efficient new generation 200 or 250 HP engine is a great match for this boat,” continues Weller. “Combine this efficient power with Grady-White’s exclusive SeaV2 ® hull, and you really have a wonderful, safe and solid ride at almost any speed and condition.” “We looked to our new 23-foot Fisherman 209 when we worked on creating the head area on the Fisherman 209,” says David Neese, Grady-White’s vice president of engineering. “For a 20-foot boat, the head area is surprisingly roomy. This enclosed console features a dome light, handhold, a mirror on the door, and good storage space. Equip it with an optional portable head and you’re ready to go on all-day outings with the family.” The bow area also features two 88-quart insulated fish boxes (port and starboard) that double as seating. “We’ve found that our center console customers, especially, really like to have access forward at one level all the way to the bow, which really helps out the fishermen or families when anchoring,” continues Neese. An optional insert changes the whole bow to a roomy casting platform. Plus Grady-White’s well-engineered anchor locker makes dropping the hook an easy task. Just forward of the console, Grady-White has introduced another idea to enhance the use of space: a removable cooler with a cushioned top that doubles as roomy bench seating for two. “When you come home, just remove the cooler, take it home and you’re ready to pack it to go out on the water the next day,” says Neese. “Couldn’t be easier!” The helm area has a big facelift from earlier versions of 20-foot center consoles to further enhance function. Pedestal seats are standard, but many will opt for the deluxe helm lean bar with its comfortable backrest, flip up bolster, cushioned seating and foot rests plus rod and tackle storage. The console design borrows from its bigger sisters in the Grady-White line. The easy-to-view flush mount electronics area has room for almost any electronics wish list, and the acrylic windshield provides excellent visibility and protection. Many customers will also opt for the T-top complete with radio box, dome light, storage net, spreader light and four rod holders. The brushed aluminum support on the T-top struts is sturdily integrated into the console for a clean, good-looking design. Aft, the Fisherman 209 has a fold down motorwell dam, allowing quick access to the stern. There are two comfortable aft seats with cushioned backs on either side of the motorwell, so like every Grady-White the 209 has plenty of comfortable seating aboard. “With the trademark SeaV2 ride, the detail, the terrific use of space and solid innovations plus Grady-White’s hallmark safety features, incredible structure and superior stainless hardware,” Neese continues, “the Fisherman 209 is a winning inshore sportfishing boat that’s great for family days at the coast.” Grady-White was founded in 1959 and builds 26 boat models from 18 to 36 feet at its plant in Greenville, NC. The company has been under private ownership by National Marine Manufacturers Association Hall of Fame member Eddie Smith since 1968. Grady-White Boats has been recognized for top-ranking excellence in customer satisfaction in every third-party study ever done in the marine industry including the ninth consecutive National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) CSI Award for excellence in customer satisfaction awarded in August 2010.
Grady-White Introduces Feature-Rich, Wide-Beam Trailerable 23-Foot Fisherman 230 to Round Out Marine Industry's Most Complete Line of Center Console Models
Specifications: Fisherman 230 - 23' Center Console
Beam Amidships: 8'6" (2.59 m) Bridge Clearance: 6'8" (1.88 m) w/T-top: 8'5" (2.57 m) Center Line Length: 22'8" (6.9 m) Cockpit Depth: 25" (.64 m) Cockpit Square Footage: 58 sq. ft. (17.68 m2)
Hull Draft: 20" (.51 m) Maximum HP: 300 (224 kW) Outboard Shaft Length: 25" (.64 m) Standard Fuel Capacity: 120 gal. (454 l) Weight w/o Engine: 4002 lb. (1815 kg)
Even a quick look at Grady-White Boat's brand new Fisherman 230 will reveal that a lot of thought, experience and customer collaboration has gone into the company's tenth current center console model. This 8'6" beam, 23-foot beauty is just chock-a-block with well-conceived new features and reflects a masterful use of space to fulfill every enthusiast's wish list. Highlights include an aft cockpit that is actually roomier than those of many 25-foot boats, a clever removable cooler that doubles as forward seating, a stand-up head area in the console, and a handsome, well-engineered optional T-top integrated into the console structure. And that's just the beginning."Our aim in introducing this model is to provide a super 23-foot center console that truly fits any boating family's needs," says Joey Weller, vice president of sales and marketing for Grady-White. "Customers indicated that they wanted a roomy boat that makes superb use of every available inch. We've packed in the features and we're really proud of the way the Fisherman 230 fills the bill for function and versatility.""The new Fisherman 230 is designed to be powered by a single Yamaha four stroke engine. Yamaha's super-efficient 250 HP V6 engine is a great match for this boat," continues Weller. "The wide beam provides plenty of balance, and she sits in the water and trolls along steadily and beautifully. Combine this efficient power with Grady-White's exclusive SeaV2(R) hull, and you really have a wonderful ride at almost any speed and in almost any condition. There are few, if any, center consoles in the 25-foot and under size range that can match the performance of the Fisherman 230.""We've incorporated a traditional outboard motorwell for the 230, eliminating any sort of design issues with a removable or fold down motorwell dam. This also allows us to move aft an optional nice, big 35-gallon insulated raw water livewell with an 1100 GPH pump and full column distribution inlet, says David Neese, Grady-White's vice president of engineering. "Since the livewell is insulated, it doubles as an extra cooler on days when you aren't using live bait. The motorwell also allows us to optionally offer our patented aft bench seating that folds out of the way when you break out the fishing gear. Also at the transom is a handy 20-quart drop-in storage box with lure tray. These are good example of what we mean by using every inch and maximizing the available space!"Grady-White has included a stand-up head area within the console with a vinyl liner instead of cloth-like coverings inside to make maintenance really easy. "And guess where the batteries are?" poses Neese. "In the console! Moving the batteries opened up storage space in the optional deluxe lean bar. We've looked at every opportunity to create an easy to use boat with great function."The helm area and helm seating reflect a straightforward, practical design updated to further enhance function. Pedestal seats are standard, but many will opt for the deluxe helm lean bar with its comfortable backrest, cushioned seating and foot rests plus knife and pliers holder and rod and tackle storage. The electronics are flush mounted and easy-to-read, and the acrylic windshield with handrails provides excellent visibility and protection. Many customers will also opt for the T-top complete with radio box, dome light, storage net, spreader light, and four rod holders. The brushed aluminum support on the T-top struts are sturdily integrated into the console design.Forward of the console, Grady-White has introduced another idea to enhance the use of space: a 72-quart removable cooler with a cushioned top that doubles as roomy bench seating for up to two. This removable cooler can be optionally upgraded to a super-insulated cooler for heavy-duty cold storage. The bow area also features two 101-quart insulated fish boxes (port and starboard) that double as seating. Access forward all the way to the bow is at one level, which really helps when fishermen are chasing their quarry. An optional insert changes the whole bow to a roomy casting platform. And Grady-White's well-engineered anchor locker makes dropping the hook an easy task. "Consider the trademark SeaV2 ride, the detail, the terrific use of space and the solid innovations on the Fisherman 230, plus Grady-White's hallmark safety features and incredible structure. Add in superior stainless hardware like the pop-up spring line cleats," Neese continues. "Together with specifications like a 120-gallon fuel capacity, you have to conclude that we've got a winning inshore sportfishing boat that has all the ingredients to take the crew offshore."
Grady-White Express 360 now available with optional integrated hardtop enclosure featuring safety glass windshield and side windows
An all-new integrated hardtop option is now available on Grady-White's flagship cabin model, the 36' Express 360, offering even greater weather protection in this handsome, incredibly capable big water boat and making Grady families and their friends more comfortable than ever! Now boaters in the Northeast and Northwest can enjoy an extended season of boating activities thanks to a temperature control system that functions like the heat pump in your home, warming the hardtop enclosure in cool weather. And those in southern climates receive increased protection from the hot sun along with a cooler ride, thanks to the well-designed windshield and overhead ventilation in addition to the air conditioning provided by the control system.
"This new integrated hardtop enclosure is really an exciting, game-changing option for this size boat, and makes offshore fishing, cruising or just joy-riding more pleasurable than ever in any water condition," says Joey Weller, vice president of sales and marketing for Grady-White Boats. "The area around the helm is where everybody aboard naturally gathers. Primarily for safety reasons, we put an emphasis on the helmsman's sightline and vision and that has benefits for everyone aboard. You won't find this level of visibility on others' boats."
"Here's a whole new degree of protection from the elements," says David Neese, Grady-White's vice president of engineering. "The enclosure is built of super strong, lightweight aluminum finished with aircraft grade Imron paint for a striking look that will last for the long run. Plus this roomy top really inspires all kinds of innovative storage ideas. You just have to see for yourself all the features integrated into this hardtop-they make a marine engineer's mouth water!"
"Give your Grady-White dealer a call about this great new Express 360 option," says Weller. "Your dealer can give you all the details. This integrated hardtop will really add to your family's enjoyment of boating!"

GREENVILLE, NC: When it comes to coastal and big-water boating, Grady-White’s increasingly popular dual consoles are redefining family recreation by not only capitalizing on Grady-White’s heritage of building the safest, best-riding, highest quality boats in their categories, but also by enhancing design and features that provide incredible versatility and recreational freedom for a new generation of boating families. For the 2011 model year, the company presents the all-new 25-foot Freedom 255 that performs very, very well for the wide range of water activities enjoyed by today’s boating enthusiasts. “The Freedom 255, like every one of our models over 20 feet, is complete with a head area for all-day comfort for the whole family,” says Joey Weller, Grady-White’s vice president of sales and marketing. “There is plenty of conveniently-located storage for water toys, picnic and camping equipment–anything and everything the family enjoys. Plus the seating throughout the boat–at the helm, the companion sleeper seat and at the bow–is as handsome and comfortable as any seating we’ve ever offered.” Grady-White is introducing great-looking seating colors and bolster accents in the Freedom 255. Four new optional factory-painted hull colors (seafoam green, sky blue, slate blue and sunlight yellow) are also available. “It all helps create a totally new look,” says Weller. “The variety of coastal waters and big inland lakes and the growing recreational opportunities for fishing, diving, exploring, sightseeing, camping, resort activities and our dealer and Grady Club events called for the evolution of a new kind of boat from Grady-White,” continues Weller. “We have the answer with this incredible Freedom 255. People understand the importance of spending quality time with their families, so we know there is a substantial niche for this remarkably comfortable and functional boat.” Optional amenities include sound systems, wet bar with freshwater sink, a storage drawer and trash compartment, electronically operated seating, and a built-in grill for on-board cookouts. The grill can function with dockside power or a battery system that can provide power for up to two hours on high without recharge. Both standard and optional amenities aboard the Freedom 255 are all at a level or above what you’d expect to find in a top-of-the-line open inland family boat. Aboard the Freedom 255, there is roomy bulk storage under the bow seating for all kinds of gear–you name it. The starboard console offers a big bulk storage area roomy enough for camping gear, beach toys and more. The stand up enclosed head area in the port console is roomy and convenient for a day on the water with the family. There is plenty of room in that head area for fishing rods plus storage nets and bulk storage areas. While the emphasis in the Freedom 255 is versatility, Grady-White has certainly not forgotten the company’s legacy of sportfishing. She boasts a more-than-ample 175-quart fully insulated fish box, and an additional 80-quart fish or storage box under the bow seating on the port side. The cockpit is roomy and well equipped to accommodate trolling gear. The optional 26-gallon lighted livewell features Grady-White’s full column water distribution inlet and an 1100 GPH pump. There are rod holders and rod racks, places for all kinds of tackle, and plenty of room at the helm for all of the navigation equipment and electronics an avid fisherman and safety conscious family cruiser might require. Aft, the integrated outboard mounting area comes complete with a Grady-White trademark super quality transom door with a battleship-tough positive locking latch (it makes a great access door to the swim ladder and platform, too). There is a recessed freshwater shower on the transom that’s great for cleaning sunglasses or reels, or for a quick rinse off after water sports. Grady-White's pressurized raw water washdown ensures that clean up is always easy: everything just hoses down, soaps up and brushes off. Like every Grady-White, the Freedom 255 is completely self-bailing; the deck and all boxes drain overboard by force of gravity. And of course, every piece of deck hardware aboard the Freedom 255 is premium grade 316 stainless. The Freedom 255, with the incredible ride of its SeaV2 hull, is perfectly balanced and well powered with Yamaha’s new generation of efficient four-strokes in either twin or single engine configuration. This dual console model is perfect for sunset gazing or cocktail cruising with plenty of capacity for up to eight passengers. A sturdy optional hardtop can provide protection and shade. David Neese, Grady-White’s vice president of engineering, summarizes, “We learned to build saltwater tough, pure fishing boats in the 1980s and truly great riding boats by the early 1990s with our incredible exclusive Sea V2 hulls. In the later 1990s and the early and mid 2000s, we learned to listen–really listen–to customers tell us all about what they are really doing on the water and wanting to do with their boat, and we discovered that the variety is amazing. We also learned the importance of a roomy head and seating comfort on an open family boat. Our dealers and customers upped the ante by urging us to incorporate these features and more in boats with the size and performance to be safe and sure offshore, no matter what the conditions. Our current Freedom 255 is exactly that, a product of our over 50 years of history, and it really fills the bill!” Grady-White builds 26 boat models from 18 to 36 feet at its plant in Greenville, NC, and has been under continuous ownership by the Smith family for over 40 years. Grady-White Boats has also been recognized for the highest level of excellence in customer satisfaction in every third party study ever done in the marine industry.

It does not do justice to simply say that Grady-White is introducing a new series of center consoles for model year 2010. Grady-White’s Canyon Series with a 28', 30', 33' and now the magnificent new 36' Canyon 366 is so far beyond in value what you might ordinarily expect in a typical center console that it is astonishing. Truth be told, the Canyon Series from Grady-White should more appropriately be called a new breed of center console because the series not only offers unmatched fishing function and the 360o access of traditional center consoles, but also a big beamed, roomy console interior with the features, amenities and creature comforts you might expect in a cabin style, family oriented boat. Without a doubt in the world, the handsome 36' Canyon 366 is the kingpin as the top performing, top value flagship of the Grady-White Canyon center console fleet. “The hard enclosure around the three seats at the helm area on the Canyon 366 provides a whole new level of protection from the elements, a real evolution in center console,” says Joey Weller, Grady-White vice president of sales and marketing. When you visit a Grady dealer and see the Canyon 366, or learn about it via your dealer’s showroom touchscreen kiosk, or just take a first look online at www.gradywhite.com/366, expect to encounter a boat unlike anything you’ve seen before from Grady-White or anyone else. “Here’s a center console that offers all the comfort of a 'family fun’ cabin boat without sacrificing one iota of fishing function. The layout is magnificent, from the tip of the bow anchor locker to the 13'-wide beam to the heavy-duty transom door that’s wide enough to pull aboard a 350-pound big eye tuna. The Canyon 366 can accommodate up to three Yamaha 350s, producing speeds up to 55-plus mph. This boat just eats up the ocean! And it doesn’t just perform; it looks great!” The exclusive, proven SeaV2® hull developed with C. Raymond Hunt and Associates delivers a ride that is beyond any other center console in this size range. The sleek aerodynamically designed hardtop is made of Imron®-painted aluminum with form-fitting aluminum overhead grab rails. (Imron is a super quality metal paint used for heavy-duty applications in the automotive and aviation industries.) The stylish Imron paint is also featured on rocket launchers as well as on the helm seat lean bar support adjacent to the livewell and rigging area. The helm and cockpit area design is not only ergonomic and highly functional from a fishboat performance standpoint, it’s plain classy looking. The 366 looks like the top boat in her size range and she is, no question. One sea trial will confirm that this boat is the culmination of Grady-White's 50-year experience, thousands of fishing trips and hundreds of hours listening to customers. Nobody but Grady-White could or would build a boat like this one.“Like any captain does, let’s start with the helm area,” says David Neese, Grady-White vice president of engineering. “The helm seat is on the centerline instead of situated to port so passengers/crew can easily come and go on either side, making this a better fishing boat. Tending bait and handling lines are thus effortless, and the skipper doesn’t have to move. The big tinted windshield has a super quality windshield wiper and is safety glass, not Plexiglas®. The protection is incomparable, and the visibility is great. The sturdy stainless wheel really fits your hands and the boat handles like a dream. Controls for everything are at your fingertips. For example, raising and lowering the anchor is controlled from the helm or from the windlass area. With the touch of a button, a sturdy plow anchor is extended and retracted through the bow. The lean bar/helm seating is far different than what you typically see. The ease of boat operation is nothing short of fantastic for comfort, ergonomics and visibility. Throttles and controls are up front and center, easy to use. The electromechanically operated electronics enclosure is adjustable to suit any helmsman’s viewing height, or weather conditions and time of day. Complete protection is provided for electronics when the enclosure is lowered. Plus, the sleek T-top enclosure offers a nice big ventilation hatch, a mammoth radio box, radial mounted outriggers, dome lighting, molded-in sound system speakers plus molded-in spreader lights fore and aft.”The helmsman and passengers can sit in the adjustable chair or fold up a seat bolster to create a deluxe lean station for themselves, and either way there are deluxe cushions, armrests and footrests for genuine comfort. There is an option for air conditioning in the helm area and console interior, powered by a diesel generator. Step down the cherry steps leading inside the lockable console and you’ll quickly see other reasons why Grady-White calls this boat a new kind of center console, great for both family and fishing. The console’s cabin-like interior not only features a roomy stand-up shower area including a “hidden” head with standard VacuFlush®, but also a galley with Corian® countertops and nice deep stainless sink plus a stainless refrigerator with interior illumination. A nearby area converts to a freshwater shower with just a pull of a heavy-duty shower curtain, and includes a cherry seat to sit down on to scrub off. An optional microwave oven heats food and beverages. There’s a clever mirror that can hide an optional TV and DVD player, and a great quality Kenwood sound system with MP3 and auxiliary sound connection. The radio system can be optionally ordered satellite ready for Sirius. There is a berth with plenty of room for two that extends forward, with storage along the side, providing a place for a tired fisherman to get some rest. A tinted rounded skylight and the additional new-style side window make the area airy and open feeling. There is an enormous amount of deep bulk storage in the console. Roomy drawers and net storage keep items easy to locate. There is a stand-up rack for five rods with flip up cherry rod holders, and more than enough room to lock up and store many more. The whole area is attractive with wood accents and a cherry cover over the head itself. Access to the switch box and boat systems controls is right inside the console door, with color-coded wiring that makes maintenance a snap. The helm seating support structure includes a bait station. For starters, aft of the helm and companion seating is a roomy 41-gallon lighted livewell, equipped with an 1100 gph pump and full column aeration-a proven system for lively bait. (A second equally large livewell is optional.) The livewell drains overboard for easy clean up, as do all Grady boxes. The area also incorporates a rigging station with freshwater washdown, a cooler, tackle drawers, plenty of rod holders, and more than enough bulk storage to accommodate any change of gear the fishing situation demands. With Grady-White’s patented aft fold away bench seat in the stowed position, the Canyon 366 aft cockpit measures a roomy 85 square feet. There are six rod holders on the gunwale, and six rod holders on the lean bar so tackle is always ready to go. Add two freshwater outlets, a cutting board atop the cavernous 291-quart aft fish box, a pressurized raw water washdown, and the big fiberglass transom door with a super heavy-duty latch and positive locking device, and you will see that the aft cockpit is a bait rigger’s delight, a perfect scene for multiple hook-ups with big quarry.Forward, the bow area features two 263-quart insulated fish boxes, port and starboard, that double as seating. Access all the way to the bow is at one level, which really helps when fishermen are working their catch. Deck hardware is all through-bolted premium grade 316 stainless, and all cleats including the spring line cleats are pop-up style, easy to clear in a fish battle. An optional table insert converts the easy-to-fish bow area to a roomy picnic or sun-and-fun area for those family days and weekends inshore. With cushions, this makes a great sun deck. Very comfortable cushioned seating for three adults is just forward of the console.“Consider the trademark SeaV2® ride, the new highly efficient power options, and Grady-White's hallmark safety features and incredible structure. Then add superior hardware, and all the design innovations inspired by our customers and dealers,” says Neese. “Together with specifications like a 420-gallon fuel capacity, you have to conclude that the 366 is a super boat dedicated to fishermen who want the very best. The name “Canyon” is very apt for all four of our center console boats from 28 to 36 feet-real long-range fishing boats with the comfort features to double as great family day boats.”
