Michael Dunne, 14, diamond jigged this 25-lb. striper off the east end of Long Island on August 6, 2005, aboard Ernest and Cheryl Jochen's Advance 257.
Kid's Catch of the Day
Dear Anchorline:
Here's a photo of Michael Dunne, 14 years of age, who fished on my 2005 Advance 257. Michael diamond jigged this striper at the race held August 6 off the east end of Long Island. The fish weighed 25 pounds and was weighed in at the Port of Egypt Marina in Southold, NY. This is my fifth Grady-White purchased from Bill Lieblein. I am pleased to say that your boats have brought me great happiness and customer satisfaction along with superior dependability. I have been afforded a great luxury owning the ship of ships.

Didn't Miss a Beat
Dear Anchorline:
On October 1-2 I took my Express 330, Flood Zone III, out of Shinnecock Inlet and 65 miles offshore to Fishtails in Block Canyon. We put over 280 miles on the boat in two days, and she didn't miss a beat. Saturday we had three long fin tuna to 65 pounds and three yellowfin to 60 pounds. Sunday we had a long fin at 45 pounds and more than 25 mahi dolphin on light action poles in the weed lines. Fishing with me were John McElvenny, who owns a Marlin 300, and Tim Burke who owns a Tournament 225.

GERI AND RON BEMBRY caught this dolphin beauty on their Islamorada Memorial Day Weekend.
Big Beautiful Dolphin
Dear Anchorline:
This past Memorial Day weekend my husband, Ron, and I made our annual trip to Islamorada, FL, for some good fishing, boating and eating. We live on the water in Punta Gorda, FL, and Ron went down to the keys aboard our 2005 Sailfish 282 and I drove. We stayed at a resort with docks on the Atlantic side, and the first day out we caught big beautiful cow and bull dolphin. Ron was pleased with the boat's performance; the trip back had quite stormy weather and after we got home the first thing he talked about was how well the Grady did. Now we're back to fishing in the Gulf for grouper, snapper, etc.

MARY WHITEHURST AND HER GRANDSON, LAYTON, caught their first king mackerel on their first ever offshore trip aboard Clay Whitehurst's Chase 263.
Ready for Big Fish
Dear Anchorline:
My son Layton is four years old and loves our Chase 263, Buddy Row. He told me that he was tired of catching "small fish" and was ready to catch a "big fish." I took him and my mother, Mary Whitehurst, on their first king mackerel trip this past August. It wasn't long before we hooked up on a 20-lb. king-it took a joint effort for the two to reel it in. It looked like a whale when it came beside the boat, compared to all the spanish mackerel we've caught. They were so excited that we came right back in to show everyone. Now, all Layton and his grandmother talk about is kingfishing and that "big fish" they caught. Of all of the memories I've made fishing over the years, this will go down as one of the most memorable ever!
