THE NEW SOUTH FLORIDA GRADY-WHITE BOATERS CLUB enjoyed its first event September 18 at Boca Lake. The club is sponsored by Pompano Beach Marine Center, Pompano Beach, FL. Having fun in the sun are Bill and Elaine Powers, Lupe McNally, David DeLarosa, Tom McNally, Wayne Newton and Robin Guerasio.
The Cape Fear Grady Club had an active summer out of Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington, NC. A group met at the Bluewater Grill for a surprise birthday party for Gary Spangler, Sailfish 272, Fishaholic. On July 4, a rafting party enjoyed great food along with Wilmington's annual fireworks celebration. Participating were A.J. and Courtney Aliah with one-year-old Marley and friends on Magic Bus; Mike and Jan Bass on Janet Kaye, with Carol Gallagher plus Chris and Dianna Abbood and daughter Christina aboard; and Bud and Carolyn Needham on Surprise accompanied by family and friends. The week of July 18, four boats participated in a Hatteras Marlin Club fishing trip, hosted by Kay Crocker: his Express 330, Emma Kaye; Mike Womble's Express 265, Sea-PA; Terry Wilder's Gulfstream 232, and Marion Barnes' Marlin 300.

TYLER ZINCK, AGE NINE, son of Chesapeake Bay Grady-White Club members Skip and Lisa Zinck, brought in the largest fish by a junior angler in the Deale, MD, Tri-State Marine Owners' Tournament-a 3.5-lb. striped bass caught on a 1997 Sailfish 272!
The Chesapeake Bay Grady-White Club had a great showing in the Tri-State Marine Owners' Tournament held August 6 in Deale, MD. Member Donna Kaler brought in the largest white perch aboard Marlin 300, Baits Motel; her father, Bill Zappie, was awarded for the biggest fish (2.92-lb. striped bass) reeled in by a club member; and nine-year-old Tyler Zinck (son of Sailfish 272 owners Skip and Lisa Zinck) was the Junior Angler for his 3.71-lb. rockfish. A cookout was enjoyed late August at the Podickory Point Yacht and Beach Club, and the September meeting was held at the Arundel Mills, MD, Bass Pro Shop.

Jose Suarez was the lucky fisherman aboard Lynn and Bill Tournade's Sailfish 282 during the Tampa Bay Grady-White Club trip to Stuart, FL.
The Tampa Bay Grady-White Club, sponsored by Quality Boats of Clearwater, FL, had a variety of speakers at their monthly meetings. The summer months saw visits from an officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the executive director of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Convention and Visitors Bureau, and a representative of Clearwater Municipal Marina who discussed fuel dock issues. Twelve children were treated to a day of boating and fishing June 18 by Jerry Gash, Scott Bash, Steve Tringala and Mike Festa for a Little Pals Fishing Tournament. Seventy-four members, families and guests celebrated once again the annual Steinhatchee scallop gathering, July 27-31, docking at the Sea Hag Marina. Bill and Lynn Tournade led the September 8-12 trip to Stuart, FL, and Pirates Cove Marina for fishing the Atlantic.
