Jerry Berg caught the largest salmon, a 12-pounder, at the Jacobsen's Marine Owners' Tournament in Edmonds, WA, this past November.
|
Jacobsen's Marine, Seattle, WA, had great attendance at their November 7 Owners' Tournament: 110 people aboard 36 boats gathered in Edmonds, WA, where the weather cooperated a bit better than the fish. Some good sized blackmouth salmon were weighed in, along with an occasional king salmon. Jerry Berg was awarded for the largest salmon, just over 12 lb. A prize raffle was a hit, along with the chili and hot dogs. Each registered owner was presented a $100 coupon redeemable for goods or services at Jacobsen's.

Port Harbor Marine, South Portland, ME, reports that there were more kids than ever before attending their Owners' Fishing Tournament last August: more kids, equals more boating, equals more fun! Much merriment was provided by the crew of Irene May, a Sailfish 272, who placed third and fourth in open class with two .05-lb. smelt; Captain JoAgnes Pasquarella, Martha Friberg, Signe Friberg and Kathy Sabbath also were recognized for a 10-lb. bluefish. Rachael, Chris and Frank Moda took first place honors for an 18.85-lb. striped bass aboard Shockwave, an Express 265. Scott "Scooter" Torresso aboard a Marlin 300, Holiday I, brought in a 23.85-lb. cod. Mark and Robin Sellinger jumped through the tent when they won a Yamaha 8HP engine.
